Section 1: What is AI

• Introduction

  Artificial intelligence (AI) is primarily part of computer science that simulates human intelligence processes by machines and thus creating smart/intelligent machines. Besides computer science, AI does involve other fields, such as, mathematics, linguistics, psychology and philosophy.

  AI creates an ability within a machine to interpret data, think and learn from that data and to help fulfil the required objectives.

  Artificial intelligence is already making impacts on all of our lives. Some examples include autocompleting texts on our mobile phones, , bookings and reservations, in new cars, face recognition, video games, helping us choose products and services.
